Drivetrain Dynod the MINI today
Dynod the MINI today
I ran the MINI today at RevExtreme in Tampa, which is a DynoJet Dyno.
Conditions: Low to mid 90's, the dyno says 25% Humidity, but the barometer on the wall said 77%.
15" Box fan set over the I/C / Engine (read small!)
Mobil 93 Octane
Car sat for an hour since driving to the dyno:
Run 1:
188.97 HP
168.72 TQ
Waited 12 minutes, and sprayed I/C with Alcohol
Run 2:
192.59 HP
170.84 TQ
Waited 10 Minutes, sprayed with Alcohol. The computer messed up the run and had to do it over (so it was hot at this point, so really it was run #4)
Run 3:
189.07 HP
173.41 TQ
Figuring 12% Drivetrain loss on the peak numbers (192.5/173.4) This would be more like (215.5 and 196.5)

I have the following done:
Alta CAI
Alta 17% S/C Pulley
Alta 0% Crank Pulley
Shrick Race Cam
Milltek Exhaust
Megan Header
Random Tech Cat
JCW 380cc injectors
MTH
VGS (at the time)
17" Rims, 215/45/17's

First time dynoing I'm assuming? I'm interested in the popular internal mods – schrick cam / etc., see if the $$$/HP is worth it for me. Nice numbers, my sort of end-goal is an achievable 10hp or so more than that.
