Taper Bore Pulley

How is the installation different for a taper bore pulley? What exactly is it? I will be using Randy's how to, so what is the difference between the pulley he is using and an "AMD" Taper bore pulley? I plan on buying it from a fellow NAM'er, but we both do not know.

I think most, if not all the aftermarket pulleys are of taper bore design. The pulley itself has the tapered bore and when placed on the hub that you slide on the SC shaft will self-center and clamp down on the shaft when you tighten the bolts.

Just be sure to push the hub all the way onto the shaft, where it touches the supercharger itself, then the pulley will pull the hub into itself as you torque the bolts (in other words, don't line the hub up flush with the shaft - shove it all the way on).
