Drivetrain Intake installation
I'm very green to modding cars, so I figured I'd like to do something easy to start out with so I don't hurt my baby too badly : I think I want to get the Mini Madness. I heard an intake is the easiest thing to do, is that right? I also noticed there's no guide to doing it: is that because it's so easy? How do you do it?
Print the install with photos from this website. You may need to put soap on the chrome sleeve, the fit needs to be tight and the site doesn't tell you.I haven't worked on a car since my youth,I did it in 45 minutes.
yes, call Randy @ MINI-Motorsport. That's where I got my Madness intake. It's great! I've already written loads about it - check previous threads - there are plenty on this site.
I've NEVER done any work on a car or ANYTHING mechanical and it only took me 12 minutes!!! That's not counting the 10-minute trip to the hardware store for the $8 in tools that I needed b/c I only had a screwdriver!
Super easy install. Actually, the Intake COMES with simple, clear instructions. You'll be fine. Don't worry about it.
