My DSC is permanently disabled And, I love it!

But, I should probably figure out why it is not working anymore... But, but, I really don't want to "fix" it!

sleepless,

can you explain why it's better for you that the DSC is disable? do you get more hp that way, or is there more torque going to the tires?

please explain.

No, you don't gain anything, but as far as I'm concerned, the DSC is only good for taking power away, and usually at a really bad time. I've had a lot of problems pulling out of driveways onto streets with coming cars and I'm trying to accelerate to get up to their speed only to have the dang DSC kill the throttle for what seems to be an eternity while the cars behind me are approaching quickly and I'm just sitting there wait for the DCS to return control back to me!

Basically, I think the car drives much better with the DSC turned off, all the time!

Hmm, maybe you have poor traction tires. I have the Pirelli perf Run Flats and can barely get them to slip at launch.

On the issue of DSC returning control, if I am on a sandy road, the traction control reduces power just long enough to right the car, then immediately give me control again. I have not noticed any long time lag. Maybe somethings up with your DSC.

I seem to have lag too. Of course, still in the break-in period so not pressing the pedal down all the way just yet. I have yet to try to turn DSC off.

I'm sure you know this, but, there is a switch that turns off DSC.

The fact that DSC is not working would bother me, this malfunction could affect another part of the car's electronics. I would get it checked-out and fixed. You can always turn DSC off when you don't need it.

Yeah, I just always forgot to turn it off; now I don't have to remember

ABS works fine, only DSC is always off... I realized yesterday that DSC was not working when I had the car at the track the other day, which explains why I felt that it did not interfere with my driving (I left it on since it was raining all day), but now I know that it simply wasn't ever on!

Yeah, I should fix it. Maybe it's some simple wire that can be unplugged by those of use that don't like DSC. I'll report back once I figure this out! I had an oil leak 2 weeks ago and now I wonder if the mechanic accidentally pulled a wire somewhere because that was the last thing someone worked on before it stopped working. I'll have it checked out.

Thx

When I'm turning on to a road from a stop in traffic, I always turn the DSC off. I have the 17" all-season runflats - not too sticky on dry pavement.

I have the same problem with my 17" runflats.....Looking into a very light weight 18" Volk wheel with some real sticky rubber. DSC off unless doing a really fast canyon blast.
