Webbmotorsports HDI box install question

I have the factory air box removed and the ECU Plugs out. Where do I go from there?

How did you get the bottom of the box out?

The bottom of the box is held in the back by 2 rubber grommets (or whatever you want to call them) attached to two bolts.

Once the entire box is loose you have to pull the box forward (toward the bumper). Pulling the box up is useless as the rubber pieces fit into a hole in the base of the box.

Just walk out there and pull it straight forward and then up and it should come free.

it is attached to two screws threw the bottom petition with little rubber things, and it also held in by the air duct coming from the front of the car. just pull that out then yank it and is should come out

yeah his description is a bit better. i pulled hard enough to pull the grommets out of the bottom the air box, they just slide in and out

How do I get the cable through the hole that is attached to the fuse box?

Do I attach the HDI box to the lower box first then put it in or put the bottom of the box in then attach the HDI box to the bottom of the box?

i dont remember putting a cable through that hole. i think that is there for that metal piece on that white tank. (sorry i dont know what anything is). i put the two screws in first then the bottom of the air box got pushed onto that with the grommet things. then i put the hdi piece in. i had trouble with the wiring harness and getting it to fit through that slot.

I am expecting mine any day now....from the sounds of this thread and I may be wrong but did the HDI not come with any instructions?? I was told by Brian over at WMS that the install is very similar to the Alta CAI install instructions...anyone have those handy?

The hole is for clearance of the master cylinder. The cables run through the slot.
Here's a couple pics. Sorry for the size I'm in a hurry.

Try to ignore the UNIChip cables unless you have one.

There's a couple more pics from my web page

Hope it helps.

TBH didn't have to remove the bottom half since I had run an Alta for years so I don't remember that part but the above posts have it right from what I remember.

PS:
You can see the bits of gray insulation by the wires. It's on both sides of the slot. I'd recommend using something there cause eventually the edgs will abrade the wire insulation. I keep forgetting to buy a good grommet to install.

I got my HDI in the mail today....thanks WMS! I also ordered a 15% pulley and since the airbox has to come out for the pulley install... I will just wait until my scheduled appointment to get it all done at the same time. There is no use in getting it installed and then watching the shop (Lucky Dog Garage) take it right back off again for the pulley.
