It's an integral part of the"system" all working together in a holistic way.

Without the scoop the air will not flow properly towards the diffuser, and the
associated foam and rubber seals. The diffuser allows the high velocity and
mass of air to enter the patented DFIC core without leaking out on the sides.
And the core that was a computational model for months before we finally
built it, has now proven it self to be excactly what the Dr. ordered.

By the way, do you have any side on shots of your ram air scoop? I looked on your site but only found a frontal shot

This is the scoop in basic flat black when we were first testing the unit on my car.

Hi Peter and Randy . . . as you know I have the ceramic coating on my DFIC and heat dissipation is a big deal here in S. Florida (It is hot already!). I had Freddy Rhemrev (former F1 and Champ Car Atlantic) road racer put my M7 Mini through its paces today and he was amazed with the heat soak recovery. Wish I was metering from the two bungs and I could tell you about road racing simulation temps. But, they were extremely low. This is a case where the elements in a product system are greater than the sum of their parts. We went on to drive an M5 and M6 but came back to the Mini
