Alta Intercooler Air Diverter

I am going to be installing one of these in the next few days to work with my m7 inake. Any reason i need to switch to the fancy alta boots? I am staying black, so I dont see the need. Am i missing something?

When I was observing one being installed at a local tech session with Alta, they said it was because the rubber ones were prone to cracking. So they included the silicone ones to improve looks and last much longer.

However, it's not required. Just changing the diverter will significantly cut down on the install time.

It's not necessary as I've have never needed them...on the other hand, what color are they and would you like to sell them to me?

They're in but the DFIC is unsupported and I thought the addition of Alta's boot would keep them from shifting side to side during boost...

FWIW: Alta sells them in black. I went with the black on my intake and it isn't as obviolus as the colored ones.
