Drivetrain Mini Mania Header ODB2 Compliant?
Mini Mania Header ODB2 Compliant?
I am currently looking in getting a Mini Mania Header, But I live in Pennsylvania which has ODB2 Emmissions. I would like to know if anyone has experienced problems passing emmissions with this header. I would like to know before shelling out a ton of cash.
The inspectors may not even look that close however you may have more of an issue wilh the MIL coming on. I have a MM header, good stuff. I would suggest buying the one without the cat and then have the orignal cat put back in.

dpayne, what Mini Mania components do you have? I'm looking at going through them for most of my mods (thinking Stage 2 -> Stage 3 route eventually), and I'm always looking for more reviews from people who have used their products.
Thanks.

I have not ordered from them yet. I have the ability to get a used header from someone who sold their mini.
I have an 2004 with alta exhaust, alta pulley, alta intake,Alta swaybar
Alta Air/Air Intercooler & H&R springs. Put down 180 on the Dyno last week
I like everything but the Alta Exhaust. I was the first one to order one from the 04 year. In 04 they changed the hanger positions. and We did some modifications to change the hangers. They should have fixed that problem by now.
I put 163HP down with the exhaust and Intake.

If it does not turn on the MIL, it will pass the emissions part of the test. If the inspector looks close, it will NOT pass the visual test.

The Catalytic Converter is located in the header.
The MM header uses a OBD1 Cat.
