Dr. O has it correct in that this is not a dyno friendly mod. Anything that relies heavily on wind velocity to function, which any intercooler does to varying degrees , will not test well standing still. A fan will help but it is still not comparable to the car actually moving. Where you will notice the difference is driving to and from the dyno

one more thing.. why ags > HAI? they're both straighter shorter plumbing to the tb i suppose?

The AGS tube (runner to the SC) is straighter than the stocker (less twists/turns), making the route shorter. The diameter or cross-section is quite a bit more than compared to stock...
