Can anyone tell me what's the diameter of the stock air intake hose on the S (the black rubber/plastic hose that connects to the stock air box)?

Also, where the hose connects to the air box, does anyone know if this part is made out of hard plastic or soft rubber?

Planning to remove the stock air box & replace it with a K&N cone/cylindical filter (poor man's way of getting more noise without buying one of those pre-fabricated BMP/Rogue intakes)

Before you guys grill me about the heat shield thing... I know, I know... I admit, I'm a cheapskate

 

it's 2.5" as I stated in the other thread, but can fit on a 2-5/8"
