differences between an 02-04 MCS exahust and 05+ MCS exhaust

I can purchase an aftermarket exhaust that came off an 03 MCS, for my 05 MCS I understand that there may be some differences between them. Can anyone let me know if the 03 exahust will fit my 05, and if so, is there any cutting or welding involved? I have a Cabrio if it makes a difference.
Thanks!

1. The hangers between 04 and 05 are different, so they will need to be bent.
2. The cabrio needs a seperate exhaust design due to different structural changes underneath the car.

i've fitted a oneballed 03 exhaust to my 05 MCS, and it fits fine, the tips sit a little bit lower than they did with the 05 exhaust...

So the exhaust won't fit a cab? It is a Dinan exahust if that makes a difference.

The undercarriage of the Cabrio has an extra support bar. There's an extra bend in the 05 exhaust that allows the tubing to clear the bar.

If you want that exhaust to fit, you will need to do some welding and cutting to have it fit right under the car. Youll need to make the hangers adjusted to the 05 hanger design and will need to create the bend tubing to work under the support bar. Your best bet is to sell the exhaust and get the right one. Unless your down for some modifications. best of luck!

I don't have experience with the cabrio, but with a late 04 - 06s the 2 center rear hangers need to be bent 90degrees towards the battery box.
