Drivetrain Unichip map / remap
Unichip map / remap
I have decided to purchase a unichip and had a couple of questions...
I have CAI, Catback, Header, 15% pulley.
I saw on one of the wedbsites had "larger Intercooler" listed as one of the criterior ??? How does that make a difference ?
Also a posting refered to mapping as "Webb Mapped" is this saying that Webb sold, did the mapping or, did something "SPECIAL" (that others don't)
So do / did you buy the Map / Ramp for your mods and really Plug and Play or it seams that some are having the Unichip REALLY custom tuned.
To do this do you have to go to a dyno place or what.

The UniChip is a great ECU mod! there are several maps that UniChip offers to all of it's tuners. It was mapped while randy was at UniChip so that is why his name comes up. There is a map for the mods you have, but a car that has a intercooler has a colder intake charge, so that car would have a different map since it need a different fuel delivery.
Most cars have mods that are already mapped and will work on all cars, so you can call me up to order a UniChip with a map with your mods and it will work. it will be a true plug and play operation for you. now if down the road, you add another mod that requires a new map we can update your UniChip for free (if you bought the unit through us). but if it is a mods that doesn't have a map then you will have to put it on a dyno and have it custom mapped. that will cost you dyno time and tuner time. Give me a call if you have any questions.

That's nice to hear. When I bought mine it was $35 to get an updated map.
