OEM reflash before GIAC?

I'm planning on doing a GIAC upgrade in the next couple of weeks, and it occured to me that I have yet to have the car into the dealer at all. This would prevent them from upgrading any of the OEM software that (I've heard) happens when you go in for an oil change etc. Should I get that done prior to my GIAC install?

Edit: Also, is anyone using the GIAC flashloader? I searched but only found 1 post asking about a MCS cable. This seems like the ultimate tuning tool for the MCS. Pump, Race and Open WMS exhaust setting

I spoke with helix last week, there is no flash loader at this time.

So, flashed should happen next week.

I think I'll wait until that loader is ready before I install GIAC. It would really make for the perfect ecu upgrade. Did they mention IF it was going to be ready at any point?

It sounds as if the project has been put on the back burner, for how long, it wasnt mentioned. I am not sure if the research and funds needed would offset the income created. MTH seems to be the way many people go because they can load it themselves. I think GIAC would be used more if the end user had soem control.

I agree completely...To have 5 custom tunes at the push of a button, is a solution I think many of us are looking for when it comes to ECu tuning.

Even without the end user controlablity, I am getting GIAC next week(if the car stays out of the shop). I was reading somewhere about a new tune for 15% pulley and 380 injectors. This would be prime for the swtich box. Switching between 15 and 19% pulleys.
