LSD RetroFit?

I've tried searching, but cannot find a conclusive answer and hope someone here can say yes or no.

Can the LSD be retrofitted into a Nov built 2005 MCS? I know there's other systems out there, quafie, phantom-grip etc, but if some is able to buy an OEM LSD cheaper, then can it be fitted?

I figure it's a logical question, but there seems to be no anser

Aaron... Good Luck and Please remember to post the

Answer here so those (like maybe me) following you, can benefit from your lead.

Too many people ask for help on NAM and never post the resolution when they somehow get their mod, issue, problem resolved...

I would help if I could on this one, but ....

Please follow up this thread with info when you figure out the steps....

Regards, and again, good luck

That obviously isn't an option... especially since mini considers the entire transmission a non-servicable part. They've told everyone who asks that they won't sell the lsd seperately.

That said... yes the factory lsd can be swapped in.

I think the factory LSD can be retrofitted, but it would cost a lot!

Your best bet would be to get a Quaife, which is an awesome piece of art. It would cost less than getting a factory LSD retrofit, and it would be just as good, if not better.

BTW, be aware that a LSD install is a lot of work. It requires a lot of time, parts to be removed and re-installed, and a lot of labor.

Yes it can be retrofitted. See this old thread for an interesting read.

If you are looking to auto-x in stock class then you need the factory part. If you are going to STX and above the the Quaife would better suit your needs. The price difference will probably be around $400 more for the Quaife.
