I have a question - can you order your MCS with a JCW package from the factory or does it have to be dealer installed?

Thanks for the help...

Mike

It comes from the factory now which is great!! it cost me 900.00 just to have the kit intalled back in 2004. The new kit is great! comes with alot more for a small price tag compared to what I would have to pay to keep upgrading the kit!!

My understanding is that ALL 06 JCW's will be factory installed. Dealer's will not have access to JCW "kit" to install.

I believe in the future, the JCW will be a factory model and no longer a dealer kit that can be retrofitted by any dealer. There are some articles on Motoringfile about this very thing. Of course, this is the turbo 2007+ MCS, and not the supercharged model.

But if you're going to get it on an 06, just get it factory installed and save yourself the money and hassle rather than giving the dealer more money and the pain of giving up your car for a few days. This is assuming you can still buy the kit for an 06, of course...

standard retrofit for 05/09 builds. I assume that means its still an 05 car. However, I doubt they will take that profit away from the dealer. I guess somoene would have to ask there dealer but whats the point of doing it after the initial buy? Don't know.
