When we first opened, we had a party here in Denver, Tupperware style. All the products were on hand to touch, feel, see, and hear - on and off the cars.

I was planning on having another "MINIware" party here in Denver before the summer gets into full swing. It was recommended to take the show on the road - so that the whole country has a chance to see the products and the car.

I'm actually thinking this might be a cool idea. I would need some help though - if I drive the MINI, I obviously can't take the parts, so I would have to ship some inventory to different locations.

Let me know:

1. Would anyone be interested in attending a "road show"
2. Who would be willing to help out with logistics

If you think this is a crazy idea that really isn't worth the effort and cash - let me know that too.

Thanks for the feedback!

Randy

I'd be VERY interested! I'm not in a very strategic location, I'm afraid, so I'm probably not the best person to talk to about logistics, but I'll come see you on the east coast anywhere from Virginia (maybe even NC) northward!

I'd be interested in trying to get something working here in Western PA.

Can't make any promises - but I'd be willing to try!

Randy,

I'm here in North Jersey, will go out if you have it, and can help host as well.

I sent you a PM about the things we talked about earlier.

I can help in the Seattle area; we have lots of car nut out here; and MINI Madness is a few hours south in Portland; two stops you just have to make

Whether is financially sound is another question, which is tough to answer. How many MINIs sold by each dealer? What percentage will modify their cars? What percentage of these aren't already well informed via the Internet? No easy answers!

Randy -- the May 1-3 Dragon Run (see this thread) on the NC/TN border will probably be the biggest bash in the East for some time to come. It would be great if you could make it. Especially if you bring one of the cars we saw in the track flix.

I'm in North Jersey as well...and judging by the amount of MINI's we had roaming around on a cold February day on Sunday in NY State - I'd bet you'd get quite a turnout. I'd help out with whoever and whatever.

Randy

I'll take care of the arrangements here in Dallas/FTW - come on in as we like guests. There is a large event going on April 19th with an expected 60 MINIs and some major sponsors - would be cool if you could make that and share some booth space with me.

George (from Madness) and PDX MINI could definitely host a nice one for you here in Portland OR, in conjunction with a club event to boot.

Hi Randy,
Perfect Power is available in the Chicago area (Libertyville is about 30-35 miles north) if there is no conflict with a race weekend.

I second mini-matt of cooperflags -- you need logistics in DFW or anything else, we're here for you (and we have one hell of a club brewing).

I thought I had posted, but no.

Randy,

You need to think about travelling to large cities to show and sell the MINI products. I would seriously consider coming to Chicago or INDY.

Keep it in mind.

NY/NJ wants you Randy! I can't offer you a room or a garage. But if you make it to the tri-state area, I'll give you free massage. You'll probably need it if you are motoring all the way from Denver.

I can promise baked goods from the wife in NJ/NY area. How bout that????? All we need now is someone to put Randy up for the night. We just had 47 MINIs turn out at our get-together in Bear Mountain and everyone seemed very interested in mods. I think NY would be your best bet Randy. I'll hand out the flyers and provide the desserts!

I'd like to semi-volunteer PTG's shop for a place. You would need to call them (540 722 4061) or have me talk to my dad about it. It could be a problem with timing and such since they are going to be running the World Challenge stuff, but its worth a shot.

Tom

EDIT

PTG is located in Northern VA so that would cover the MD/VA/WV/DC area pretty well.
