2005 EOY, pulley problem audit

Aftermarket Pulley problems as of the End of Year 2005.

If you'd be kind enough to share, I'd like to tally up some numbers, which I intend to update here at the top, for people who have and have not had problems with 15-19%+ pullies from any company or installer, excluding JCW pullies.

Looking for 'no' problems answers, with # of months installed, and yes answers with # of months before first issue. Please keep issues brief, and related to 'actual' issues caused by the pulley, and not 'well the dealer said my alternator died because the pulley was drawing too much power' and similar false associations.

The format I plan to keep is a simple table of # of yes's and no's, with min/avg/max of each for months.

Please also post reduction %'s, as that may come into play later, but I do not believe company name or installer is necessary. Thanks

Aftermarket Pulley problems?

Nope!
34 people
Months (min/avg/max): 3 / 11.6 / 34

YES
0 people
Months: 0 / 0 / 0

Last tally taken 12/2 1:13pm

* REMINDER * Not tabulating submissions from people whom do not include # of months installed.

Alta 15% pulley
12 months (installed November, 2004)
8,000 miles

no problems at all.

PS-I see that you are only requesting time, but should mileage factor also be considered ??? just my two cents.

19%, installed for 15 months (approx. 30kmiles), no problems. On my 3rd belt, but that's just due to replacing after occasional squeaking

15% MINI-Madness pulley, for 22 months now, and at least 75000km driven on it!

I changed my belt once last year, and no problem with the pulley or belt!
(or anything else related to this mod! )

18,000 miles on 15% - no problem.

Then, 30,000 miles on 19% - no problem, but changed the belt every 10,000 miles as a precaution.

Then, 14,000 miles on 16% with 3% crank pulley. No problems after initial belt alignment issue.

Can't imagine having at least a 15% pulley!

Can't put into my database without # of months, and wether or not you consider those issues problems or non-problems. I'd assume the belt changes and alignment don't count as problems, as they were not *caused* by the pulley... But I'd rather not assume, so I'll just tabulate the data.
