With all the talk of HP #'s, has anyone (Randy) posted what the leading contenders did to the torque numbers from stock on the low end. I'm most interested in this as an autoxer rather than any topend HP gains. Still undecided on what setup to get for the MCS. Thanks

Jeff

Jeff,

Soon. It's a logistical matter of having a stock car with all three exhausts available to swap on and off. I'm also trying to get cars that have had the systems on for a while so there are no "adjustment" issues. Mine has too many other mods, so I need a Magnaflow car. I have a Borla and Quicksilver here that will work. I may have a Magnaflow soon too (ficcion, are you listening? I need you for evaluation purposes ).

I fully understand Randy and thanks for all your work/info to date. While the "loudness" concerns of the magnaflow are an issue, its not a deciding issue for me. Neither is the extra cost of the quick system. The are just factors that I need to consider. I was hoping you/someone had some torque numbers for the two systems that might sway me either way as it will probably be the deciding factor for me. If one pulls harder out of the corners than the other, then that will be most beneficial on an autox course. After all that's been said, I am perhaps leaning towards the quick system now unless the torque numbers on the magnaflow sway me back in that direction. I'm in no rush at this point with my car starting production on 2/6 so I will patiently watch things as they develop. Thanks again...

Jeff,

So far, looking at the curves of the Magnaflow, the torque is delivered in the same exact way as the stock system. The only difference is that there is more. It is slightly fatter at 3500-3500 RPM, but only slightly - and then continues at the same curve as stock.

I still have to get the QS system on the dyno.

Hope that helps some.

Randy
