I have one.

Pro's: shorter, crisp shifts without changing shifter height/appearance. Less $.

Con's: Heat shield has to be removed so the shifter boot gets pretty warm on hot days.

i have one, it's simple and works great.

yah, you just push the heatshield down to give the shifter clearance.
don't remove it.

i used a small hammer to tap and shape the heatsheid. it's much easier
than pushing it out by hand..
