Fastest non-nitrous or twincharged MINI

Went out to Speedworld tonight for a little drag racing. Not sure if this is the fastest non-nitrous or twincharged MINI out there, but going off of Andy's list it looks like it is. Finally got the package together on my car, but unfortunately did not have a chance to get my tires here. I ended up running on my regular street tires.

Car Specs:

15% Global Motorwerks Pulley
Global Motorwerks Ported & Polished Head
Global Motorwerks Port Matched Intake Manifold
Global Motorwerks 62.5mm Throttle Body
Schrick 264/272 cam
MiniMania/K&N Intake
OBX Header
B&B Exhaust
JCW 380cc Injectors
JCW Spark Plugs
EVOTECH Software
225/45/16 Toyo T1R's (These are NOT an R compound tire)

The car ran extremely well tonight. Got there and the first pass was a 14.0. I knew there was room to go because the launch was weak. Next pass was a 13.8 and stayed in the 13's all night. Finished with ripping of 4 straight 13.6's and on one of the passes trapped 104mph

Here is the info on the best pass:

60ft: 2.020
330': 5.740
1/8 : 8.807
1/8 mph: 80.795
1/4 : 13.617
1/4 mph: 103.188

It was an extremely fun night. I had my H&R coilovers on my road race set up and was using the street tires, so I am looking forward to getting out there and running some more passes. There is an Import vs. Domestic event here in 2 weeks. I will get out there with some tires and see what I can do. Who knows maybe I will even get some spray, clutch, and an LSD. The best part about tonight was that the local SRT club was there. Maybe 12 cars or so. I beat every single one except for 2 that had big turbo's and slicks that were running 11's.

Also want to give a big thank you to Justin, Mike, and Brian at Global Motorwerks. The have been with me all the way on this car. Designing new products for it and helping with the installs on everything.

NICE ! With some good tires you should be able to get that 60' time down.

We pulled a 1.7 in the drag mini, good 60' times are definitly possible !

Good job, I cant wait to see what you do with some slicks. Keep us updated.

Indeed, very nice times! Congratulations. Hey, how about some weight specs of your MCS. I'm guessing that you've done a few things there as well

EDIT/ADD: Being that you did this in AZ, I suppose it wasn't exactly cool weather, but please share the temp and heck, even the elveation. If in Scottsdale, I think you are up there a little, right?

Temps. are usually in the upper 60's to low 70's and the track elevation is about 1200' (ish).

Congrats on the 13 sec. timeslips! Just watch out for those red, turbo Civic Si's!

the only weight reduction on the car is removal of the back seat! everything else is still their! This is truely a full weight street car with street tires! (not drag radials) the tread wear rating on the tires is like 280 i think!

Excellent time, even the 60' was extremely quick as compared to other numbers I've seen for a street MINI.

Congrats and great times. Have you dyno'd your current setup? If so how much whp? Curious to know the hp/wt ratio? Should be making near 200 if my quick est is correct based on stock weight minus rear seat.

WOW!! Now that is fast for a Mini, man you are in ZR1 territory here, my 91 ZR1 was getting almost the same, I have slips in the 13.3-13.6 same 60' time and 105 mph and that was with M/T ET Street, line lock to heat them up, headers no cats and 4:10 gear, consider that car made 375 hp right off the showroom floor without the mods, but it is heavy, 3500-3600 lbs.
Now if you don't know what a ZR1 is, it has a 5.7L, 4 cams, 32 valves with 16 fuel injectors, 2 fuel pumps and was designed by Lotus and Mercury Marine, the ZR1 option was a $32k option on top of the Corvette's based price.
I now have a 95 ZR1 that puts out 405 hp right of the dealer's floor and according to Motor Trend, it ran your times but mph was a touch higher but not by much, so you're up there with a 1.6L, all I can say is I'm impressed, you would keep up with a stock ZR1 on the street and that is something on it's own. Well done, as far as 0-60, my guess is you're in the 4.7-4.9 sec.

Thanks for all of your support!!!

To answer all of your questions:

Temp was in the mid 60's last night.
Car has the rear seat removed and nothing else. Scales were closed or I would have weighed it.
Last time I dynoed it was 211whp. I have added a few things since then and can now rev to 7300rpm. So I would guess I guess I have a couple more hp. And all of dynoing was done in 100 weather, so I am sure the car was running stronger last night.

I am still going to see what I can do without nitrous but on some real tires. But from there I will start spraying and go for the goal of "Worlds Quickest and Fastest MINI". I will keep everyone posted on how it goes.

wow, that's fast - didn't think these cars were capable of doing the 1/4th that quickly! which is the reason why i don't do it and built my car for handling (duh) since i didn't buy a MINI for trying to achieve a fast straight line speed.... if i was in that game i sure as hell wouldn't start with THIS as a base to jump off of....

congrats nonetheless, now i can tell people what they are able to do since everyone has that ignorant question for me - "what does your car run?" don't know and don't care....!

the crazy thing is that this car is actually set up more for road racing than drag racing... it wears H&R coilovers and H&R front and rear sway bars... THe car has gobs of negative camber (which reduce contact patch) if it has some camber plates so we could zero out the camber a bit we would likely beable to be 13.5x

No... PILO HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS CAR...(no offense pilo)

I guess i don't understand the context in which that statement was made, perhaps its inside joke...(so please do not take offense to this again just trying to get the FACTS straight)

The parts lists are listed above... no outside help was used on this car for parts or set up.
