Drivetrain Fastest non-nitrous or twincharged MINI
What year is your car? Does it have the 2005 transmission?
QUOTE=motorsports3]Went out to Speedworld tonight for a little drag racing. Not sure if this is the fastest non-nitrous or twincharged MINI out there, but going off of Andy's list it looks like it is. Finally got the package together on my car, but unfortunately did not have a chance to get my tires here. I ended up running on my regular street tires.

WoW!
Now thats what I call a fast run. Not even with a twin charge kit. What are those guys getting
Now I can't wait to finish from my track car and get a few things lying around into my Mini including a rollcage. I'm going to remove the side airbags, rear seat belts and seats to lower my freaking weight.
I suggest you change out the front seats to light weight ones. Hope you get to the low 13s with slicks and camber adjustments.
Good Luck!

This car WILL run low 13's on slicks.
uae, are you building a drag car or road race car?
The quality of the B&B exhaust is incredible. The system is completley polished and built very well. The sound is slighly louder than stock, with no real drone in the car. When you take the cat of fit screams!!! They have seen 7 whp with the system. My guess is that is about average for most exhaust systems though. I will always buy B&B for my cars. I have had it on my last 8 cars and have helped them get many other cars for development. I would say it is the one to get unless you want something that is really loud.

the car should run low 13's on drag radials...
add a nitrous intercooler sprayer and who knows!
we sell lots of B&Bs on the cars that we have in the showroom our customers love them!
Honda sounding... ive never heard that before... I would say the borla sounds more honda(y)
what tips did you have on it... the big single, the two rounds, or the two dtms?
UAE... you mentioned track car... are you building a road race car or drag car? Sounds like a road race car... but was just curious...

what tips did you have on it... the big single, the two rounds, or the two dtms?Could you describe the differences in the sound that occur based on the tip that is being used?
personally i dislike the sound of the big single! its a 4 inch round "cannon" like tip... it sounds to "airy" as if the tip is too big and the motor can't flow enough air to make it have a full sound... this is mainly at idle and lower rpms... the higher you take the rpms the more hona(y) it sounds...
the dual tip is my favorite it looks the best and sounds the best. this is the most "normal" sounding of the exhausts
The dtm tips which i haven't heard in a really long time if i remember correctly sound raspier but... i haven't heard them in a while... the difference between the dtm tip and dual dips weren't that great and most people wouldn't beable to ever tell a differnce. (I played an insturment for 9+ years so i can be sensitive to this kind of stuff) i would stay away from the dtm tips because you are highly likely to burn your shins on the exhaust when gettting something out of the boot...
now when you take the cat off the car just about any exhaust is going to sound ricey... unless you add a resonator... Motorsports3 car does not have a cat nor a resonator and is quite loud... but boy does that exhaust flow!

I reckon once you get some drag radials on it that thing is going to 60ft in the 1.80s and those 330ft will improve so much it will run a 12.999
Espically as seeing that a perfect 104mph is a 12.74 with a 1.74 60 and a 5.12 330, so even if you kept your 1.97 60ft the extra grip youll get in that 60-330 will help et wise

I have a curcuit only car being built.. Don't ask me what? most people around here hate em'.. it was stated earlier with the sound comment
Track only cars are a no compromise deal... there is no "but it won't be streatable". The only thing is it has driven me away from my current passion the Mini
Soon enough you'll see the monster I have wanted to create.. well I bought a new car.. ehem.. used off a friend.. a Wrangler for the desert and work, atleast I can go all out with my Mini:smile:
You guys know of any better paying jobs?
