Well I have the install complete. It is hard to tell right now because it is already 4 degrees outside but there is a noticeable difference in th 2 to 3rd shift. I raced a friend of mines 5.0 mustang not "stock" and would have beat him if I could have got the car to hook from a launch. But you should have seen me catch up it was awesome. Well I am trying to get pics of the system on the net but having trouble finding a dig camera but I will get them on soon. With exhaust and an madness intake can you say "sleeper". Should be fun this summer when everybody else is sucking in 100 degree air and I am running on 30 degree air. Pics will be on soon.!!!Justin Nawrocki Street Machines Car Club Fort Wayne, In.

Here are the pics of the completed install of the nitrous intercooler cooler. The best thing about this whole install is when you have a fresh bottle and flip the switch the nitrous fogs up an comes out of the scoop in the hood. Looks like the car is snorting like a bull very cool will post pics once I get my bottle filled again. Justin Nawrocki Street Machines Car Club Fort Wayne, In.

VERY TRICK! I like it A LOT!!

Hey, I can't seem to see the foggers in the second pic. Also, is that white stuff on your intercooler plate, leftover residue from the nitrous?

Just wondering, but wouldnt a water/alcohol injection system do the same thing, at less cost, hassle, and last longer per "bottle"?

Some pro's and cons for both. With the Nitrous cooling the IC, the IC is super cooled which cools the charged air inside the IC (more dense air, which contains more oxygen) and flows to the combustion chamber as intended by the engineers (dry manifold). The cooling is dependant on the efficiancy of the IC. Fully taking advantage of this cooler more dense air is dependant on chip tuning.

With an alky setup you get a few benifits. One is that the alky/water mix removes heat as it changes from a liquid to a gas (intercooling effect). A secondary effect is that alky/water can slow down the combustion process ( effectively a higher octane mix) which allows more boost, and or aggressive timing.
The alky is better (IMHO) if you can take advantage of its potential thru chip tuning. The only downside to alky is if it is used in a manifold designed to only flow air (most modern EFI vehicles). Most kits come with one or two nozzles so getting a even flow to each cylinder is difficult when applied to a manifold that was only meant to flow air. The fix is to have a nozzle at each intake port (4 in our case) so you can get equal amounts of alky to each cylinder. However, one nozzle can be used, but you are essentially tuning the whole motor based on one cylinder, which happends to be the one that recieves the least amount of alky. The effect can vary from car to car, and in some dry manifold uses, one nozzle can work fantastic.

If you want an approximation what nitrous cooling alone will do to your performance, take your mini out on a 20-30 degree day and let 'er rip. Prolly hard to tell by the seat of your pants that your car is faster. Add the cooling with more boost and you may have something.

Alky injection...I believe it holds more potential than nitrous cooling, based on its ability to effectively elevate the octane of the mix. However, neither are going to break records by themselves, more boost and chip tuning along with the cold charged air is where power will be made.

I hear rumblings in the underground that propane injection is where it is at for forced induction performance....

Yea I never go a chance to take a digital pic of the underside of the intercooler because when we first did this my friend and I were really bored and just started working on this project. Spur of the moment I guess However I did get a regular pic of the nitrous plate and will try to get it on here as soon as I can!! This system is a blast just due to the fun factor. When you spray the IC it fogs up and shoots out the scoop in the hood. Like A snorting bull!! Awesome!!
