I have a Quaife and I beleive the retail is now around 1100 or 1200. I think some shops charge about $800 to install but that is just a guess. I am actually thinking of selling this tranny and getting a 05 with the factory LSD for the better gear ratio.

wish i had an LSD but that's just to much money for an aftermarket option. if it was a factory option when i got mine there would have been no question.

i track my car as much as my sched. and income allows. if i didn't, i'd see no need for a LSD. it would be neat to have but not worth 500 bucks.

if your gonna track your car and it will not be a daily driver get no A/c, for sure not a sun roof and get the stock wheels cause you know you'll get rid of them the day you pick it up.

There are many past threads on adding a limited slip differential.

Search for:
Quaife
Phantom Grip
LSD

Quaife part alone about $1100 and available for MC and MCS only manual transmissions. Lifetime warranty.

Labor varies with time spent doing the change out. Can be under $1000 to as much as $1400+. Some owners change out flywheel and clutch for the same labor cost. Lightweight flywheel about $500 and racing clutch about $300.

Obviously not a mod for the less serious but useful for track and heavy autocross applications.

For those that are buying a new MCS the LSD factory option seems a bargain!

From what I hear rumored even OE LSD on Mini will not be as "scca lucky" as it was this year. Just a rumor.
