Unichip before the Pulley?

I have aquired a Unichip from a friend, who had it programmed for his Alta cold air intake and 15% pulley.

I have the intake and pulley as well, but wont be installing the pulley for a month or two. Would I have any problems running the ECU now, even though the pulley it wants is not installed?

Also, is it worth having the Unichip remapped for the Borla cat back which I have, but previous owner didnt? or would the remap be more aggravation then its worth?

Lastly (and this may answer all above questions) but does the unichip need to be "re-set" for a different car? It is coming out of an 04 and going into an 02.

Thanks in advance.

yes, ive searched, but havent found anything concrete

I have some experience with this.

The stock ECU can adapt to the pulley so don't bother with the UNichip first. Call Unichip....talk to Josh.....tell him you mods and send the unit to him.....these mods are "cookie cutter" for the Unichip and he will remap the Unichip for all of them. This will get the most out of your car and mods...Tell Josh Bob from Atlanta says "hi" and that I still am looking forward to seeing him.

Is the UniChip only for MCS? I have a modified MC and am looking at that as the next and probably last mod for my MINI. Any help will be appreciated. A website that is an authorized dealer has a Unichip for MINI Cooper - "all engines" so I assume that it is ok for me to use although apparently you must enter in modification codes to certain mods you have on engine.
