Just do as you said, pulley than the MTH or better yet do both at the same time. It's like a family.

I have both ALTA Pulley and CIA doing MTH next week.

I did them in order of convenience I'll tell you that you will see more of a change from the MTH though

There have been lots of before and after dynos showing the effect of the pulley on an otherwise stock car. Here's mine for example:

I haven't seen any customer dynos showing the same test, but with the MTH Tuner file delivering "COOPER S ca. 200 BHP". That claim seems to indicate much larger gains than going from stock to 15% pulley.

How about cost of a pulley change... approx?

Cuz I wonder if the MTH, if as promised, would be enough... for now.

I'd do the MTH but dyno it before and after. Cost of the MTH+cable is about the same as the cost of getting a pulley installed with parts and labor. Roughly $400-ish.

We install the pulley at NO CHARGE at our garage party in Bethpage Long Island if you purchase it from our ALTA shop. We have done 8 of them todate in 1.25 hours each - NO RECALS or any problems since last May! 99% of us have the ALTA CIA, new Belts, NGK Cool Plugs and 15% or 17% or 19% pulley all done at the same time...the MTH is next on the 22nd of October.

I would do the pulley first and then order the MTH with your present mods to take full advantage of the ECU remap IMO

If you order the MTH tuner file, you can get as many maps as you want for 12 months....so.....what I did was order several maps, in anticipation of mods:

1. stock
2. Alta CAI map
3. Alta CAI + 15% Pulley
4. Alta CAI + 15% pulley + exhaust.

I'm running map no. 2. at the moment, and I have a pulley and new belt sitting at home waiting for me to install it...

So....you can put on a map now and reap the rewards, before you do the pulley.....and when you get the pulley, you can put on the next MTH map (incl. programming for the pulley) and it will compliment the pulley install....(it's main purpose being, to clean up the fuel delivery....and thus maximise the benefit of your pulley install....)

So...what I'm trying to say is, get both.....

I think I'll be doing the MTH Tuner version first, because it is less invasive.
And I can get updates within the 1st year.
So if I find I want more than the MTH, I just have to add mods w/in the year.

Does anyone have more dyno data on the MTH?

I'll have some hard Dynojet data later this month for a Cooper (which I know doesnt help you). Also, another person in Dallas will be getting dyno data for a Cooper CVT and a MCS. I'm also working on a deal for some Dyno data for a JCW210 kit before/after MTH sometime in November. Also, I would gladly accept anyone elses dyno sheets before/after MTH.
