Drivetrain Water Temperature sender install
Water Temperature sender install
Did a search but no luck.. My questions are unanswered..
For people that have installed a water temp sender, where did you guys place it? Any pictures would be helpful..
If you guys used an inline pipe and placed it somewhere between the radiator hose (upper)., where did you get this pipe, I've been trying to look for one..
Thanks

change the odometer into a digital water temp gauge
I don't often need water temp info, and when I do I don't mind fooling with buttons a bit on each engine start:
 I change the odometer into a digital water temp gauge.
Yeah, it's doesn't come on automatically with every engine start, but it's built-in and accurate.
When climbing mountains in the Rockies and Yosemite, I was concerned about overheating coolant. Rather than installing a water temp gauge, I used function "7.0 Actual coolant temperature" that's built into the Mini. I was able to enjoy the A/C most of the time without having to be paranoid about overheating. On the couple of times when it did heat up, I knew to turn off the A/C, open the windows, & turn on the heater.
I searched for the instructions on NAM, but couldn't find it.
Here it is from Mini2:
How to show RPM, Fuel Level, Speed and more on your Odometer Digital Display

Thanks for the link...
Thanks Mr_edly... Good link.. Didn't know that our odometer had so many other uses
But unfortunately since I will be running pretty hot, I do need a real-time/"always on" solution..
