JCW intake install question

I need help with the wiring of the jcw intake, specifically the yellow wire. I believe it is to be spliced with a white and red wire from the ecu harness closest to the firewall. There seems to be 2 wires that may match the description and I would hate to cut the wrong one! One seems to be red with a white stripe, the other white with a red stripe. Also I'm not sure how to make the splice, do I cut the wire, and if so which end do I splice the yellow to? The one coming from the harness or the one from the ecu?

Hi,
I installed the intake a few months ago. If you unwrap the wires coming out of the connector you can trace the wire back to its pin location (pin 113) on the connector (it's written in really tiny numbers on the connector) the wire is yellow and its one of the larger wires in the bundle. Cut the pin 113 wire and splice all three together. I used a crimp connector and electrical tape to hold it all together. Probably nice to use a shrink fit sleeve if you have one.

hope this helps

Yea, what supersand said , mine's in w/ disconnect connector. Didn't have a hairdryer/heat blower to use with the supplied sleeve.

Supersand, does your wires out of the ECU/fuse box look clean? Mine looks 'odd', mine's tucked between the fuse cover and the plastic wall. If you have a pic, it'll be helpful.
