Best price for MCS Milltek catback?

Finally came to the conclusion to go with the Milltek for my MCS. But I've searched around this forum and couldn't find any info. Any lead/ tip is appreciated.

Thanks! I think this is the cheapest place.
Has anyone bought from this vendor (Mini Tuner)? Any good or bad experiences?

I bought my Milltek exhaust system from these guys (they were the cheapest I could find at the time when you factored in the free shipping offer). They don't stock the exhausts, rather they have them drop shipped to you direct from the East coast distributor.

My exhaust system arrived in a really torn up (and poorly packed) box. The exhaust tips were dented and it was missing parts (gaskets, washers, hangars, etc.). I called them up and they were very happy to replace it for me. Within a weeks time, a brand new system showed up (with much better packaging this time around with all of the bits were included too ). They provided a return shipping label for the old exhaust system and I sent it back.

In the end, I was very happy with them and I'd certainly do business with them again.

Just received 20 minutes ago my new militek exhaust from minituner.com.
Pricing was excellent (free ground shipping), packaging really nice and tight.
Definitely recommend you these guys for your next militek exhaust purchase.

writing on tips?

Since when did Milltek begin writing their name on the tips? The Milltek photo in the exhaust reference thread doesn't show any writing. And now I hear the tips turn brown? May as well go with Invidia. I don't care for the blue tips, but at least there's no writing on them and blue would be preferable to brown .

Any gains to be had going with the milltek on a 05 MCS vs the stock system?
Or is it all for sound and different tips? How about weight difference?
Thanks!

shipping coast to coast

can't fail to notice that the person who ordered from the west coast was the one whose box got tossed around from truck/train to truck/train....

I hear people talking about the invidia exhaust. Does anyone have any sound clips? What is the sound like? I was planning on ordering the milltek today and if the invidia is just as good and sounds just as nice or better, then i can try to save a few bucks and go that route.

Actually, it's totally Milltek's fault... In the beginning, Milltek was packaging their exhaust systems very poorly. The hangers would tear through the boxes and parts would fall out etc. They must have had lots of complaints about it as the newer systems are packaged MUCH better with lots and lots of bubble wrap, the parts are zip tied together, and all of the sharp edges are now wrapped in thick foam to prevent them from tearing apart the box. Thus, it has nothing to do with the retailer, but rather Milltek doing a poor job at packaging is all. As I mentioned, my second exhaust system arrived in perfect condition with the new style packaging.

From webbmotorsports.com
"8 ft/lbs of torque, 9 horsepower, 31 lbs"

Read through the exhaust reference thread:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=23789

The Milltek is generally regarded as the best all around exhaust for performance, and note. It just depends on what you want, there are louder ones etc.

The Megan from piloracing.com is pretty cool for the $$$

I got my Milltek from MiniTuner - definitely the best price considering free shipping (other places were as much as $100 to the West Coast). I also got an ALTA CAI for my MCSa. The CAI hose changed with the MCSa and MiniTuner was happy to take it back - good guys to deal with and cheap.

Love my Milltek too. I purchased it after much research (esp Webb's site). No complaints here.

Webb Motorsports Advantages

I am biased of course, but there are some advantages to buying from us:

We offer the only 2 year/24000 mile warranty - including track time.

We repackage our units to be sure they arrive without damage.

We designed the system with Milltek.

We are centrally located - shipping is never more than $45 in the contiguous US.

We price match.

Hope that helps!

I noticed a difference with my '05 MCS! I had a concern that it would not do much since at the time, the '05 MCS was supposed to have a changed exhaust, more efficient than the '02-'04. Which, later, we found out to be untrue, they are virtually the same. But you will feel more umph from the car getting up to go! I drove my friend's stock '05 MCS, good difference with my MCS and his stock one...

If I had to do it again, would not think twice... I dyno'd the car and I am pleased with the results, but like a schmuck, did not dyno the car for a baseline...

^^^ Thanks for the info! How's the noise level at cruising... is there any resonance? I don't like the drone you sometimes get with aftermarket systems. I want it to be quiet for cruising on the hwy... but to have a deeper tone overall.. Thanks for your input... I think I might have to get one of these.. What were your dyno numbers...

no drone. silky smooth tone.

That home-made packaging looks pretty good. much better than
the under-the-UPS-truck packaging I got mine in. there
weren't real damage to my Milltek, just bolts and nuts missing.

Our dyno numbers are max 10hp, min 6hp. That's on a Dynojet 248C, and the cars were tested on the same day, same IAT, same coolant temp.

The reason I sell so many Millteks is because so many people are concerned with the noise level and drone. The Milltek has it nailed - that big resonator up front takes care of it.

Hope that helps!

I was going to order the Milltek but when i called MiniTuners they were all out and would not expect shipment for another 3 weeks. Before I called MiniTurners I called Bav. and asked them about there scorpion exhaust. They had one in stock. This was another exhaust that i was looking at. I was hestitant to ordering the exhaust as i was not sure if it would fit the 05 models. But later yesterday I found out on the forum that they include different hardware for the different year cars. So now i am looking forward to getting the scorpion and ill try to get better sound clips of the exhuast then the ones that are offered as well as some pictures. Will see what some of the people are saying about the scorpion is true.

Randy.. thanks for the reply... Is this a true bolt-on system? Can I do this at home on jackstands? Just want to add all this up before I purchase. Thanks
