Excellent! Would you mind testing the Alta IC against the stock one as well, using the same technique? That would help answer several long-standing questions.

Another request for deatils/pictures of modified hood scoop. Hopefully the upgraded scoop and the GRS intercooler can drop intake temps another 20*. That would be very handy at an autocross.

I'm interested in if you think that each of us could easily modify an M7 scoop on our own. Please describe how to do it or would we need special equiptment? Dremmel tool/ sandpaper?

Contact Peter at M7 and ask if you could get an unpainted one and do the mod then send it back to M7 so they can see what you've done. Maybe get some "credits" towards a future purchase. Take some pictures for a How to post.

Does your mod of the scoop compromise structural integrity- weaken the scoop?

How much does the stock vs M7 scoop weigh?

Well a pumpkin knife won't really cut fiberglass.

It's pretty much a given that you will need a die grinder or other rotary tool (dremel) as well as lots of sandpaper.

Fiberglass is not fun stuff to work with and you can mess up pretty easily.

Hi Guys....

All the back orders where filled today so expect them accordingly depending on where you live. Sorry for the delays but we where so back ordered that we did have some problems delivering on time. Onasled no offense taken, I realize that
there are applications where some modifications are recomended or necessary.

Regarding the weight, what can I say an injection molded part would
be incredibly costly IE. I had to sell thousands of part....wich I love to do but
it ain't going to happen with the MINI..

Ps. The painted parts I sent out where sublime

It's too late for the IC but I will try to do the scoop.

btw, I added the Alta hose and the IC on the same day and the butt dyno was and continues to be very happy. There is no doubt some positive things happened with those additions. After the header is replaced (bad cat) I am going back to the dyno......
