Injectors upgrade... Fuel regulator?

I am curious, with all this talk of changing injectors are people changing the fuel regulators too. I know with my E30 BMW I am in the process of getting all the parts to go with a larger TB and then injectors but part of the puzzle is to get a new fuel regulator to increase the fuel flow.

Isn't that a key step to getting the full effect of the larger (flow) injectors? Or does the Mini already have the capability to adjust without the need of new hardware?

It is going to be hard not to do mods on the mini. I need to get back to working on the E30 to get rid of the itch.

That is a great question! I do not believe a regulator is needed, could be wrong though. Unless of course, you are planning on doubling the power in the car! I believe Dinan has included some type of fuel regulator with their "boost" kit! That is all I know... I shall say no more...

The fuel regulator in the MCS has been shown to support fueling for power in excess of 300WHP. A new fuel pump, higher capacity lines and regulator are in order though if you are chasing 350WHP+ however  If you are aiming for 220-250WHP with currently available mods, a change of injector throughput capacity (i.e. 340cc to 380cc/400cc) is all that should be needed.

That's good to know. But, what are those guys at Dinan thinking?

There was a rumor floating around that they threw it into the kit to "up" the price a bit! Of course, this is unconfirmed!
