positive Alta CAI feedback

when I first took off the Dinan and put on the Alta sans hose, I was disappointed. I thought the throttle response went to hell and the gas pedal was squishy. WOT the Alta was nice and smooth but slow to resond from 2500 - 4000. Nice after 4750 but very slow under that. I have been driving the car for about 300 mi aggressively and the the ECU has learned that there is a new intake and is dealing with it quite well. Now that the ECU is educated the Alta without the hose is outperforming the Dinan nicely and I still don't have the hose (this week)

The Alta IC and the hose go on this week so I am very excited the car just keeps getting better.

I'm really surprised that with all the mods you have done that you never upgraded the IC.

I think you'll be VERY happy with the results that the Alta IC will give you. The next perfect compliment to this IC is the M7 hood scoop, but it does need some modification to get the best out of it.
Look forward to hearing how you like the Alta IC .

I like the looks of your car.

My car has been a work in progress. as you know i got bogged down there for a while........things a good now. I have most of the parts in place now.

I had intended on doing an IC but I needed to get some other things sorted out

I met Sid (MSFITOY) at the Dragon. I find he is very knowledgable and bery willing to share info. he has an Alta. I found a smokin deal on "return" unit so I am very "psyched." (60s & 70s term, sorry) I am looking at the M7 scoop and that is in the budget.

I'll post when I get it all in.

btw - the next is the quaife/clutch/flywheel probably toward mid to end of summer. After that I'm done ....... yeah right
