Drivetrain Removing Bypass Valve??????????????
Removing Bypass Valve??????????????
Hi Guys, I am a noobie to the mini scene and need a bit of help!!! I have been reading the post about bypass valves not closing properly and feel that I may possibly have this problem so I set about to check it out but havnt got very far!! I have removed the intercooler to make some room but there is so much junk min the there I havnt even layed eyes on the bypass valve yet!! I take it that its down under the throttle body somewhere?????
Can anybody give me some help on what needs to be removed to do this task??
I will go and have another look and hopefully in the mean time someone can help me out a bit.
Thanks in advance John.
PS I did try searching first but no luck.

I sorted it out OK after having a better look, and yes the valve wasnt seating properly but I was able to adjust it up ok. I also done Andy's VGS trick while I was at it, Just need some new hose clamps for the air filter as I cant get the original mini ones back on.
u need to look at the following link...i asked the same question last week and got helpful replies
