MyPocketRocket,
Just give us a call and we can ship one to you free of charge.

DrkslvrS,
The CARB approval is something that will be done in the next year. Once this happens all existing intakes can get the sticker from us to make thier legal in california.

I wouldn't worry about having a perfect seal at the base of the Alta intake since the top isn't sealed against the hood liner anyway.

So that weather stripping should come with the kit? Is that a new thing?

Is this by the ECU box? If so, i have a secondary weather stripping
on top of the ECU to close it out completely. If not, ooops.

Andy is right in that the air box isn't perfectly seal, but it doesn't need to be. The air flowing from the window scoop and from the front of the car will easily out flow the intake and inturn be pushing air out the small hole. Either way that strip at the bottom will help seal out some of the hot air that may raise up from the engine while sitting at a stop light. Once you are moving the hot air will be going out and under the car.

002,
We have always had weather stripping with our air box. Are you missing some? Just give us a call and we can take care of you!

coop d'etat,
We have come to find the intakes that have the 2 ports instead of just the 1, are auto cooper S's, not the manual. For those with the auto, call us and we can supply you with a tee to attach the to lines to the intake.

That sounds great!
Hopefully it will happen before I have to take my car in for it's first smog check.
