Going to the Mini Dealer...ECU question

Im taking the Mini in for various rattles and squeaks that are driving me up the wall. We bought our 02 MCS Jan 1st 2005 and it now has 36000+ miles.

I was wondering if they are going to be messing with the ECU upgades while i am there. I have no idea what version our car has. How do i check? Should i get the upgrade if they ask? I remember reading about reseting the ECU after they do the upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

By the way the Mini is stock. However I am considering pully and AGS after I get the boat ready for the summer.

You can ask them both for the current version and/or to update you to the latest version. Have them print out the service/repair history of the car as well so that you can have it for your records.

It depends ... are you happy with the way the car drives now? If so, you may want to stick with the software you have. If you are not happy with it, then you may want to have them update it to the latest.
