I felt the same way when I put mine on in January. The sound is great and completely addictive. Enjoy!

I know. Supposedly its even better with an aftermarket exhaust as well. Now I just have to choose between new wheels or a 17% pulley and a Miltek exhaust.

IMO borla sport is more fun than listening to an intake...only b/c the best part of the noise an intake makes (the sucking in of air) can only be heard when you *first* press the gas with the bonnet up!

but now get the borla, and you'll really be flooring it everywhere!

congrats on the mods!

Exhaust is better than an intake b/c you get the cool sound (if you have a cool exhaust ) at every throttle input. Part throttle, full throttle and everything in between. It's great. And that's not all - with a free-flowing exhaust it sounds great letting off the throttle! I have the UUC and the burbling/gurgling I have around town is simply beautiful music. Sometimes when I let off the throttle on my block, it'll burble for a good 10 seconds or so as i coast to my house.

Is there a difference between the red and blue pipe? Just a difference in looks? Is there a difference between 02-04 to 05 on the intake

But I *DO* have a Borla Sport in my car! Muahahaha, check my sig. :D Although the droning from 2k-3k rpm is a bit annoying at times (stuck in traffic and in front of a cop etc)

04-05 Alta Intake are the same (I have an 04 intake in my 05 MCS). No difference in the blue/red tube, just personal preference

By the way, i've got a blue tube, but im looking to trade it for a red one if anyone is in the bay area looking for a blue tube :P I wasn't able to choose because I bought it new off a friend for a good price.

I know this is probably a really dumb question but i dont know really anything about cars but can you put this intake on a regular cooper? cause i see all of you talking about your mini and it seems like you all have a cooper s.

Ka1032, the alta intake sound the rage is about here is from the super charger on the mcs. You can get an aftermarket intake for the mc, only thing I can recomend is doing a search here or go to the vendors list and dig around. I'm sure you can find something cool, happy motoring!
