What to do with new (almost) stock exhaust?

well I have 250 miles in the car and I'm thinking about swapping out the exhaust..
Should I keep the stock exhaust or is it not worth the hassle?
Are they easy to come by later on and cheap when I decide to swap back to stock?
And the ultimate question is, will it fit in the car if I decide to bring it back home? it looked like a one piece.

If you're going to keep it, bring a truck. Some people have listed them on ebay.

My stock one-piece hung nicely between the roof trusses in my garage.

If you have the room, may be worth keeping, you never know.

See exhaust #9 in this thread - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=23789

Have your shop lop off your MINI's right nut and save the left one in case you want to put the stocker back on.

I modified my stock exhaust and would be interested in having a complete stock exhaust. I am not sure if the 2005 and 2003 MINI S exhaust has changed at all. If you want to give it away, I might be interested in getting it from you.

2005 exhausts have an extra little bend in front of the battery box, plus the differences in hanger design, compared to the earlier ones.

All of them make great sculpture.

Save all your part for your grandchildren. In 30 years, they'll thank you for it:smile: Don't bother modifying the stock exhaust...in less than a year, you'll be buying the one you REALLY wanted and you're stock ones are then junk.

No need to worry - it's an elective procedure

they will become like "periods" - blue period, cubist period - for some great artist; "ah, you have one from the late pre-2005 bend period....."
