Racing Cat Shopping

Hi

I'm looking for a high flow Cat that would mate my SuperSprint header and JCW exhaust. I came across a thred that recommended the ATP cat, I have also found the Magnaflow ODB2 Cat . I'm not to sure which would be the best application for me. Can anyone help me decide please.

Thanks

I'd go with the ATP one. Others may work fine, but my experience (with my VW) and jlm's experiences with his MCS show the ATP to be a winner.

Check out Random Tech, their ceramic cats work fine. The metal core cats tend to throw catalyst inefficiency codes on sensitive cars.

The ATP cat listed as 3" in/out, can it be fitted to my 2 1/2" system? With this cat I would not get the engine light?

When the engine light comes on does it effect the performance of the car?

Thanks

I have just got the ATP Cat today. I think it is ceramic, form your experience do you think it will melt like the OEM?

Thanks
