any exhaust for mini that will make it sound like the new G35?
I just love the exhaust of G35..

u can try to get a G35 exhaust and bolt it in, mind you will need to modify your own hangers and cut it so that it would fit

would it sound the same? no... because under the hood of the mini does not reside the beautiful sounding VQ35... to make a mini sound like a G35 you will need to get a VQ 35 fitted! that you would get spot on

The mini is a 1.6L 4 cylinder. It therefore will never sound like a 6 cylinder engine, no matter what exhaust/intake you may try to put on it.

 

My buddies have G35 and Nissan Z. They both agree that the sound of this one is the closest to their exhaust.

well I do know a 4 banger mini will never sound the same as G35, but I'm looking for a similar exhaust tone..
All exhaust I've heard so far are low tone that I'm sure it'll give me headaches on the long run. G35 exhaust sounds pretty high pitched.
I think stebro sounds sounds pretty good but never heard one in person..
I want something not too low.. but nothing raspy

I don't think G35 or Z have hi-pitched sound.

I have tried both Z and G35 and they are great sound to rave it hard, but when you rave it beyond 3500 up the tone kinnda change to lower deeper...I like that!

Even Infinity FX has the same sound! it's Nissan thing..I think!

 

It's because all of those vehicles have the same engine. As do the Nissan Quest, Nissan Murano, Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima, the old (up to MY 2004) Nissan Pathfinder, the (new) Infiniti M35, and the Infiniti I35. They are even using a larger (4.0 liter) version of that engine in the new Xterra, Pathfinder, and Frontier. It's everywhere!!!!

 

Mypocketrocket- I think the G35C's exhaust does have higher harmonic timber (overtones) when punched, but your clip is probably the closest
sounding Ive heard from a MCS. I want that Invidia exhaust!


Did you know that in Japan the 350GT Skylines come with a different
exhaust than the G35C's due to noise restrictions? The 350GT's sound
like an oridinary Maxima. boooo~!

 

Agree! Eventhough I did not step that hard on the throttle, because my buddy has his hands wraping around my neck ready to choke me anytime I punch it.

the g35/nissan 350Z does NOT sound like a rice rocket.

trying to get a cooper/S to sound like either of the above is not such a horrible thing.

now, whether any of the current exhausts out there sounds like the infiniti/nissan is a whole different matter.

I think the Borla Race has a similar exhaust note, but that's only when the G35 is floored.
