Good price but those end tanks are rough...

I'm no expert so I hope GRS would comment on this.

I don't think there's a diffuser with this intercooler kit like mine, so I'm not sure how you seal the area around their intercooler?

I have a separate diffuser which fits in the original location of the original diffuser, when you fit a bigger intercooler the original diffuser is too small

GRSmotorsport intercooler kit shipped to the states is £464 , if you require the end tanks to be mirror polished there is an additional of £25, which is well worth it:smile:

damn exchange rates.

at the currrent exchange rate, without any NAM discount , you are looking at the unit for

[Live mid-market rates as of 2005.02.09 21:00:38 GMT. 399.00 GBP
United Kingdom Pounds 741.656 USDplus shipping a 15# across the pond: $75, then if it sits in customs and they want a duty?? say $850

but it does look like a nice intercooler.

We are finishing up the testing of the GRS unit, and have been working diligently with Graham (great guy ). The number will be posted, and I can already say we will be carrying the unit, at about the above listed price of $860ish.

That price also includes on of the most innovative solutions I have seen with regard to an air diverter. Stay tuned...

Hope that helps!
Randy

This Forge Motorsport intercooler looks like an improvement over OEM. Look at the size of those core tube's.
Is anyone out there running one???

Why did you title your response with "this is just rude."?

Before you answer, I'll explain what I meant by my post. When I wrote "add noticable power" I did not intend that comment to sarcastically dog the IC thread. Some aftermarket intercoolers do nothing but drain your wallet. A few, probably the one you site, do not create the potential for more hp, but rather, help to maintain a consistent level of hp thru out the entire driving spectrum. I chimed in, hoping only to help with a very tangible question; the IC I brought up, from information I've gathered, actual increases bhp by 10-15. I thought that this would be of interest to you since you or perhaps others are shopping for an IC.

I wrote in another post. Funny thing semantics; the intention of the writer is often misunderstood by the frame of mind of the reader.

Why are some folk so sensitive? Why automatcially assume the worst?

I'd be curious to see actual efficiency numbers compared to stock, under the same conditions. That sort of test takes 1 hr, tops. It amazes me that places making/selling IC's don't do that (with the exception of GRS).

I spoke with Randy about the air to water IC above - RMS? I hope I was in line with the bhp??? Randy, can you obtain efficiency and bhp numbers? I've tried without success.

Andy, I too am curious about this IC's performance. I'm sure Randy will have the data. This Air to water IC is apparently quite different from the unit displayed under engine mods in Randy's website; it is not a water jacket covering an otherwise stock IC. The exchange rate sort of dampens my enthusiasm even if the bhp numbers above are conservative, however.
