New BMP Carbon Fiber Intake ???

I just got our new BMP Promini dealer brochure today and found this hiding on one of the pages..looks like it may be a BenFer private label deal maybe?

I haven't heard anything, but I love the carbon fiber. I guess only time will tell if there is something there.

"Carbon fiber is a non heat transferring material"

Ha!

an interesting property of carbon fiber laminate is that the heat conductivity is anisotropic; good conductivity in the direction of the fiber (carbon fiber heat characteristic) but poor cross fiber conductivity (matrix characteristic)

That makes sense since you have a good conductor (carbon strands) buried inside a poor conductor (thermoplastic resin).

Yeah yeah, enough with all that scientific stuff.... J/k

What the ricers of the world want to know is.... WHEN WILL IT BE AVAILABLE???

I have inquired about this product in the past, but heard no response. I require a sealed intake system for the DEI CryO2 system I run on my car, and it boils down to either the BenFer system or the M7 system (hint hint, I highly doubt I'm the only one with the same dilemma....)

Another good question - how much will it cost?

and another thing, folks.... if you took offense to the ricer comment about carbon fiber, think about the person who made the comment for a second - you all might have carbon hoods and scoops and vents and dash kits and splitters and what not, but NONE of you rock a carbon fiber wallet like yours truly does!!!
