Drivetrain O2 Sensor Turned Off?
O2 Sensor Turned Off?
Hello all. I purchased a HEAVILY modified R53 that needs to pass Texas inspection. It was throwing a code for the upstream O2 sensor not communicating so I bought a new NGK sensor and while installing it found that it had 2 upstream O2 sensors. The second was connected to an Innovate LC-1 and when I traced the wires there was a XD-16 air fuel gauge hidden under the dash. I know the LC-1 has a function that can emulate or smooth out the signal but the wires that would do that aren't hooked up to anything and don't appear to ever have been. My cheesy scantool says their is no signal from the new O2 sensor.
I'm wondering if they used the LC-1 to set the parameters in the ECU using the air fuel gauge and then turn off the O2 sensor signal?
Is that a thing? If so what do I need to buy/do to turn the O2 sensor back on?
Please help.
