Alta CAI + M7 Strut Brace

I've just installed the M7 strut brace that is pressing the isolating rubber of the Alta CAI

I don't know if there is enough heat isolation when closing hood.

Am I also risking that the CAI is picking hot air, being an open box?

Anyone is running the same configuration?

I'm running an M7 strut brace with an Alta CAI. What do you have around the top of the box? Mine came already installed on my car and it's got a super thin tape that covers the lip of the box. I don't have any clearance issues though. I'm not a fan of the Alta intake though, I'd rather go with the DDM or even the M7 CAI.

Put a JCW "air filter" (not intake) assembly on..!
The various strut supports clear the JCW box. A better filter AND clearance, what more can you ask for ?

I'm not having clearance issues, but I think with strut brace it takes more hot air than without (just because the strut brace press down the rubber gasket of the alta cai)
