Drivetrain CV joints popped out?

CV joints popped out?
I am in the process of installing new struts. When I went to put the new struts in, I can't get the CV axles to collapse. It seems like the shaft has came out of the bearing cup. Is there an easy way to push them back in?

you have to take it all out and re align it
then once bot sides are aligned bolt the axle hub 1 or 2 turns by hand
now grab the rotor and keep smacking the axle until it clicks in and has no gap from where it meets the tranny.
had the same problem 2 days ago
