Question Dinan Free Flow Axle Back Question

I currently have installed the Dinan free flow exhaust on my f55. Being the dolt that I am, I was unaware that one side was plugged on the exhaust until AFTER I installed it. My question is this; can you open the second exhaust tube and has anyone ever done that? Would it even make a difference? Just a thought!

Poor design by Dinan. I cut the two round tips off, had it joined into a single with an oval exhaust style exhaust tip

I was baffled (forgive the pun!) when I realized that Dinan had closed off the second port. It's fully welded for Christ's sake! My only guess is that it's purely cosmetic in nature to appease the uninformed. I reached out to their tech folks to see if they can explain why it was closed from an engineering standpoint. More to come but expect radio silence or a canned response at the least.

I can't complain too much I got my axleback for free! It was for a F54 so the tips had to be extended by an inch anyways.
