Cleaning IC

Hi all. I'm about ready to install the Alta oil catch can on my MCS and before I remove the intercooler for the installation, I'd like to know what I should use to clean it if it's oily. I'd assume some carb/fuel injector cleaner would work but I'd like to make sure. Thanks.

Something that can clean the oil, but will not leave a residue is best. Then rinse it out with water, and allow to dry.

For no reside, I'm going to use some brake cleaner, such as Berrymans. I'm going to rinse it well after, and then with some compressed air, make sure it is dry...

A big bottle of brake cleaner, or a cup of acetone works wonders.
No need to wash out with water as the solvents will evaporate in less then
a couple of minutes, leaving nothing but a clean IC...

Be careful with the Alta catch can. sfjames2 had one and after a few thousand miles it started to crack on the inside. Silicone + oil = bad.
I just mounted my M7 catch can and it looks sweet

RC car motor spray or RC nitro engine cleaner spray. It's very
similar to brake cleaner.
