There is a book called "The Art of Possibility" by the Zanders.

There is one chapter entitled Rule #6. And Rule #6 goes something like this:

Rule #6 is "Don't take yourself so d*mn seriously!" What are the other rules? There aren't any.

See ya,
JS

I know this thread has been cold for servral months but I came across it while searching for some information on the boost gauges, I could be wrong but I was under the impression that the radiator on top of the engin is not an intercooler but an oil cooler, am I wrong?

It is the intercooler.

>>I have seen some column gauges on some rice burners. The gauges are mounted on the column between the front window and drivers side window. Pretty cool looking actually. All nicely attached top to bottom. You could probably get the 4 gauges attached on it very easily. Maybe retro fit a rice burner version.

Yes but what about the Airbag. Wouldn't it get in the way?

Kesh:
I too purchased the Oil/Boost gaug cluster, but I ordered mine from BMP/ProMini. So far I have installed the gauge cluster and run the wiring to the firewall. I will be doing the rest today, but won't be hooking everything up just yet. Because of two reasons. One I have also ordered the JCW engine upgrade and want to wait for that to be completed.

The second reason has to do with the oil cap connection. I had ordered the same pretapped Oil cap as you did, when it didn't arrive as quickly as the gauge set (Order both items seprately) I called BMP/ProMini and they told me they were just finishing up a new design attachment method and would send me out the new one. Its been about two weeks and it hasn't arrived yet, I will give them a call today.

The new method does not require tapping the Oil cap (not sure exactly what it is) but this means you don't need to disconnect the oil gauge everytime you do oil changes.

I will let you know how far I get today and how easy it was.
