I purchased Neu Speeds cat back exhaust for my. 2018 Mini Clubman S all4. They have insured me this is the correct part for the car. It doesn't have a bend for the second cross member/ tunnel stiffener. They have blamed this on incompetent installers, a professional muffler shop. The exhaust that was on was custom one piece welded and had to be cut up to be removed. Now I am stuck with a Mini without an exhaust.
Isn't it great when "aftermarket vendors" claim its the installer's fault? Those photo's look nasty, there's zero clearance to the heat shields. Can't imagine how an installer screwed that up, but anything is possible.
Could the muffler shop weld/coupling/clamp your original exh. back together? Bet ya they wouldn't screw up re-installing the factory exh. Give Neu-speed another try before filing a legal claim.
You think you could trust a company with the reputation like Neu Speed... My exhaust guys were able to cut the section out and weld in a nice bend. Also they were able to move the bracket; the system came out beautiful thanks to the mechanics. They put a lot of time into. I contacted Neu Speed several times and finally had to go to the Better Bureau of Business; NS lied blatantly to them and has repeatedly insisted it was incompetent mechanics. I've only asked them to refund/reimburse me for the the extra time it cost my mechanics labor. But at the end of the day, I do now have a nice new exhaust.
My mechanic sent them better pictures while he was on phone with them, a video, and he texts from the specs they asked for when they wanted to send us spacers and longer bolts to lower frame stiffener an 1.5...that would have looked good and not caught on anything.
