wow you used it for 10-15 secs. i was only able to use it for 3-4 seconds and everyone writes that i blew up my motor becasue of nitrous. if anyone should know it sounds like it would be you. you should know that anyone squeezing for 3-4 seconds isn't going to harm anything. plus the unit i have i a venom. it works through the stock computer. it is supposed to regulate everything and shut off the nitrous if it sees a problem, therfor there is no posibility of "user error"

i think it is so funny how everyone wonders if the nitrous blew up the motor. who cares..... i don't!!!!! so why should any of you????
all i am saying is that when Peter realized that his product didn't work he wouldn't return my money. and part of the issue was that he told me to pay more money to make it work (fuel injectors) and that didn't work either.
plus if you really think about it. if my motor blew up because of the faulty computer that was supplied with the kit then i would have to inform you about but that is not what i am saying.

are you trying to convince my that the unit did work??? and that is why my motor blew up? well then how did that happen when the bottle wasn't even in the car?
i appologize for my attitude but this is really frustrating to see people so worried about my motor breaking. that isn't the point.

It does matter that your motor blew - because of all the cars I've done or heard about, the motors are bulletproof! I have seen more than one car melt plugs with nitrous, and the fact that your car had a valve failure indicates ultra high CHT.
I think that's where folks are having a hard time. And the fact that now the car didn't even have the bottle in place when you were at your event. Things that make you go hmmmm...

that still means that the unit wasn't working properly. it is supposed to stop the flow of nitrous if it sees a too lean situation. so it wasn't working right. and it blew up my motor. either way i would still return it because it didn't work right.
but that isn't the issue. nitrous didn't blow up my motor. the Venom unit being faulty had nothing to do with motor "blowing up". the venom unit was returned on the premise that it didn't work for more than 3-4 serconds at a time. and after those three to four seconds it would shut down my car.
i noticed that you log in as Randy.... i am not sure if you are the same randy who goes to steve's but the Randy from Maxmini (who is the reason i bought a mini in the first place, great guy) also has had the same problem with his venom nitrous kit from M7. i just found out that he is associated with M7 and so therfor i doubt that he had a problem getting his money back. or maybe he just kept it.
No, I am Randy Webb or RandyBMC of Webb Motorsports. Take a look at the website and you will see I have my own shop here in Denver. I have done some development with Peter, but we are not directly associated.
What I have issue with is that you had been taken care of according to an agreement you came to privately with Peter, and he refunded your money as discussed, yet you still chose to come to the board and post what a horrible guy he is. If you weren't happy wiht the agreement, that is your issue, not Peter's. To me, it sounds like it was handled appropriately.
I don't sell the Venom, or any other nitrous kit, so I have no reason other than your point sounds shady to be posting here. The fact that you don't care to use any punctuation or capitalization only makes me doubt you more, but that's my issue.
I certainly think you handled the situation inappropriately, and that was what my response was for.
I'm not that Randy - though he is a great guy - but it seems that it wouldn't matter if he got his money back or not if he hasn't gone postal (get the pun) on the internet - you did get money back and still went postal.
My $.02. I just thought it may be important for you to either specify your issue, or tell the whole truth if you were going to go public with it. I'm staying out of it from here on out.

i respect you opinion that you would have handled it differently.
it sounds like you would have just been screwed and called it a day. well i don't appreciate being screwed and if i can warn others then i think i did my civil duty. thanks for you input.

Just so other people know...he has plastered this message up on all of the other boards in what seems to be an attempt to bash the vendor.
CPEWEGO- like i said to you early on another vendor bashing thread. If you were to nicely plan out your warning for future customers, that would be great. But the way you are handling it now, it seems as though you are just out to convince people that M7 is a bad company or something. If you accepted the money, you agreed to the transaction. You seem to keep pushing it in an attempt to further aggitation created by your message. Please go enjoy a nice long drive in your mini and let yourself cool down a bit. People are now warned about your side of the story, there is no reason to stretch it any further.

I'm pretty certain this thread is going to be closed soon. However, I'd like to make a few points.

Hey Randy Webb, not sure if you know, but Randy Terwilliger, aka Maxmini, is Peter's partner at M7--so it really wouldn't matter if his Venom unit didn't work right

I'm curious, where else did he post besides TMMZ's forum? I only began tracking these posts since he posted there, and I didn't see any "plastering"
CPEWGO
Why did you create a different username for NAM than the one you used on TMMZ? While you state you are new to forums, maybe that's the reason, but it's pretty common to keep our names the same from forum to forum--unless we got something to hid.
When I first read your thread on TMMZ, I felt sympathetic to you. In fact, when I watched the TMMZ guys, closest to Peter, jump down your throat, it kinda of pissed me off, cause it seemed like they weren't looking at the facts, but rather defending a friend, and it seemed like they were practicing censorship, not the free speech the TMM guys say that isn't possible here on NAM. When the thread was removed, it didn't surprise me at all.
When I saw you post again the same thread on TMMZ, I pretty much knew you were on your way to banishment on that forum, so I figured it would be interesting to see your post over here on NAM--and what do you know, you did post. And once again, the same people that flamed you on TMMZ posted again on NAM, always asking about your blown engine, and once again, I felt a little peeved. But now that Peter has made his response, my opinion about you and this situation has flipped 180 deg.
In fact, I think Peters biggest mistake is not putting a clause in his agreement with you that you may not publicly talk about the problem or defame him or his company once you accept his money. (Of course I'm assuming he didn't do that)
It's time you take a vacation from the keyboard, and read over these posts, because unfortunately, I agree with the majority here. Peter's product may have been to blame initially, but the real problem lies in how you have let this situation play out. It really reflects poorly on you.
Just my 2 cents.

Are you telling me that i was not ripped off and that the extra money that i didn't get should just be overlooked? the fact is that M7 ripped me off.
its funny you mention this because i have just been answering everyones questions about what happend. you call this vendor bashing because he is your friend and you are supporting him but if you just got ripped off and then you went on a message board to see if anyone had the same experience then you would probably feel pretty stupid that you hadn't read some kind of warning before you bought something from them. Of course i think M7 is not professional and those who have purchsed products from them and are happy well good for them. but those who are looking to buy from M7 will benefit from this post. you may call it bashing but a prospective customer may appreciate it. i think this is hallarous that you write me and tell me to stop writing. why don't you just stop reading and let the people read what they want. i have only been responding to people bashing me because i came out and talked about what happend. we are all adults, people can take this info and do what they want with it.
why would you go on another thread and lie and say that there was a thread on this site that said people were laughing about this situation??? seems like you are a M7 supporter and you have not been ripped off by M7. that is great for you but i have been ripped off.
i think this topic is understood by any inteligent human so there need not be any more discussion about it. this is just information. Relax RallyMini!!!!!!! do what you want with this info.

its funny that you changed sides once you read what Peter wrote. you said that i should have dropped it because he paid me. so you are saying that if he didn't pay me then all this would be Ok? and since i was paid SOME of the money i should drop it? that sounds fairly strange to me. i guess it would have been better if i were to have written this thread without the $700 in my pocket. well i am glad that i got at least some money. At least i am glad that someone finally understood that the engine problem had nothing to do with my M7 situation.

I'm confused by your most recent post. Were you just answering your own question about where else you've been posting your complaints? That kinda just proves that you've been trying to merely spread Peter's "bad name." I'm not taking sides here, just making an observation.

Thanks for the clarification on the screen name. I know what you mean. I did the same thing before I got wise and asked the Admins to change my name to something less revealing. Of course, I still sign with my real name, so it's not like it matters much.
As far as changing sides goes---I've been taking an objective look at the situation, and my first take was completely one sided. The issue about the money is important because it shows that you both came to some kind of settlement/agreement on the situation, and normally once that's reached, no further discussion is made. But since that occurred, and now the discussion is being made after the fact, it does make one wonder--what's the motivation behind it?
As for understanding the engine problem---I'm not a mechanic or an expert on cars. I trust Randy Webb's opinions on this situation since I know him, and respect his opinions--heh heh, he doesn't know me though.
But once again, I will give anyone the benefit of the doubt, until proven otherwise, and in this case, with all the facts out, I have to side with Peter.
Sorry!
Oh and thanks for the link to Roadfly. Not that I need anymore pages to read, but it's good to know you got the major message boards covered.
