Catted or catless downpipe

Hello all I have a Stage 2 RPM with catless dp but considering going with catted. The environmental guilt and smell is getting the best of me. Should I expect a significant power drop? Any real power difference between 100 vs 200 cell?

I don’t know if you will really notice all that much difference in power if you go with a good quality hi-flow downpipe. I know that some like them for a lot of highway driving. Apparently it reduces the drone a bit.
I honestly don’t ever really smell much of anything from mine, even with all the windows and sunroof wide open. But I realize a lot of people are more sensitive to it than I am. It might deepen the exhaust note a tad bit as well....another bonus.

There are "hi-flow" catted DP's available --- Mario gets a lot of publicity with his. Probably others available from NAM vendors.

MrGrumpy, if you want to receive a PM, you gotta clean out your mailboxes --- it's full and wont receive any more. My apologies 2012_R60, for hi-jacking your thread to attempt getting this message to MrGrumpy.

I’m selling a high flow catted now. It increases the price because of the price of the cat.

Mario,
Will your catted downpipe throw a cel
like the Milltek and others are said to do?
(2009 JCW Clubman without a tune).

Also curious. My car stinks in the winter.

Mario,
200 cell cat shouldn't throw CEL, right? And if it does, we should be able to use O2 spacer to get it tricked, alls it does is comparing the pre and post sensor readings, so if a 200-cell won't do the trick, combining it with a spacer could do it right? The only reason I'm asking is because on my BMW I did put in catless headers and have the tune remove the CEL caused by post-cat O2 sensors, but during state inspection, it still appears as a sensor "not ready", and therefore they fail my inspection every time. I had to swap the headers every year to overcome that task, can be quite stressing. Another issue is the smell. Even though we're able to remove CEL after all, I really hate to drive a vehicle with so much skunk in the tail pipe. That's why instead of catless DP, I would prefer a high flow cat in some form. How much is this new catted DP you're selling, please PM. Thanks.

Mario May have a way around the 02 readiness check, ask him about it.
I fully realize that everyone has different sensitivity levels to different smells and whatnot, but running catless doesn’t really give me any funky smells at all, even with all the windows open. But I may be dulled (in more ways than one! Ha ha)

Mario I already have an RPM stage 2 from you. If I go catted DP will I need to resend you my ECU to adjust the tune?

Thanks!
