Factory SC Dying on MCSa R53. What Are The Options?

Hi all,

I have around 110K miles on my MCSa 06. Factory SC dying. What are my options? I want to upgrade to Sprintex or so. But the SC inlet tube is different on MCSa and Sprintex does not offer that. Any thoughts?

Does it come for automatic transmission? Does it fit the factory SC inlet for automatic cars?

As an option. You can buy a brand new JCW Mini SC for about $1300 from MINI. They are evidently parts inventory the MINI are now clearing out. You can also get brand new S SC for 3 times the price. I see your location rebuild is a harder option. You may buy a used SC for much cheaper but depend on you luck.

Maybe the original poster here can make the custom inlet you were asking about in the Harrop thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-r53-mini.html
